A traditional birthday card for a German relative.

It is hard to capture the sheen on this card. First, I added some Distress Oxide ink to the inside of my embossing folder, then embossed the card panel. Afterwards I rubbed some gold wax over the raised areas.

I die cut the oval and coloured it using Distress Oxide inks, then added some splatters using a white Posca pen. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment. The flower and foliage were also die cut, coloured using DO inks and then heat embossed using glazes and baked texture powder.
I cut a piece of gold ribbon to make the bow and stuck it down using a glue dot. The tiny gems and gold trim are from my stash.
