I wanted a pop of color on this page but not so much color that it would compete with the title so I chose a plain medium gray background. I wanted the printed cardstock to be only a little wider than the photo with the mat and I still wanted a border of gray around that. Once I figured out how much space was open for the title, I chose a phrase from Cricut and wrote it directly on the cardstock. It needed to be colored in, I then attached the matted photo and added stickers that echo the sentiment of my son and our dog. I added a dog sticker in the corner for whimsy.
