When I was the Development person at the Alexander Graham Bell Assn for the Deaf & Hard of Hearing (longest assoc name Ive ever worked at!), one of my responsibilities was the annual gala. Partnering with the National Geographic Society (the then-Chairman and CEO, Gil Grosvenor, is the great-great-grandson of Bell), our featured speakers/guests were also so interesting and/or incredibly influential, notable people. I cannot, for the life of, me remember these explorers name (I need to find the program booklet!) but we could not get a photo with everyone still and smiling.
