Another thing I've heard but not tried is that, if you're (for instance) doing watercoloring, you can pre-treat your paper by getting it wet, taping it down, and letting it dry. Supposedly it does something to the fibers, so the next time you get it wet, i guess it's not supposed to warp.
Hi there! So, Scrapbooking.com made mention of a platform, "Clearly amazing multiuse mat," which holds a paper against itself by ?static cling? And it's supposed to help with warping. I've ordered it. We'll see.
Great job on this! Very impressed with your sewing! I like everything about this and would love to lift but pretty sure I wouldn’t be able to make those circles! My circles would be some new shape I invented!
Photo of my son and his wife taken just a couple of weeks ago. I used my sewing machine to stitch 3 circles on the layout. I did a little ink smushing with some tumbled glass oxide ink, some texture with gold texture paste. The circles were punched and outlined with a black pen from a scrap that I practiced my in smushing on. Flower garlands are images from pngwing. The text strips are 49 and Market fabric tape that I ripped and added just small strips. Sprinkled around a few gold nuvo drop. Journaling was computer generated with a old typewriter font and cut into strips. Title is a chippy piece from Mintay. I don't do a lot of mixed media stuff...but wanted to try my hand at it...didn't realize that the paper gets SO warped! Maybe I need to do something to the paper before adding the wet?? Thanks so much for stopping by!
