This is a journal that I made with a mixed media painted cover. I started with some plain chipboard and some Dusty Attic chipboard corner pieces. I used some plain white cotton towel fabric to cover the chipboard and make the covers. I used the end of a paintbrush handle to push the fabric around the chipboard so the shapes show through. I then painted the cover using lots of thin layers of paint with a dry brush technique taking care to not lose the texture of the fabric because I wanted to be able to see brush strokes. I used some Prima gold wax to highlight the chipboard edges.

For the framed flower I took an image from scrapbook paper and covered it with several thick layers of vintage beeswax embossing powder I bent it back and forth to make some cracks in the image. I put the photo in an old brass vintage frame.

The pages inside are decorated with stamping, embossing, pockets, tags, lace, embellishments, etc. I have shown a few pages.

Thanks for looking.
