Give a Cheer
Back to working on my August stay-cation photos. The second leg of my local sightseeing tour was Great Falls, VA. For some reason, it never occurred to me that there are actual falls at this sprawling park that spans both Virginia and Maryland. Its now my new sanctuary for when I need a quiet, beautiful, place to just walk and admire nature.
I am hoarding my one sheet of 49 and Market Vintage Artistry Hike paper and figured I might be able to create my own similar background with my inks. It came close to what I wanted - next time, Id use more white gesso to tone down the stenciled ferns. After inking the background on light blue paper, I stenciled the ferns with darker ink, then stamped other bits of nature using Stampin Up stamps.
