My DH. Journaling reads "On Jan. 24 we traveled to Ft. Polk to say good-bye to John before he went to Iraq. He got to stay at a motel off post with us that night....He cuddled with Meleia, JT & kyle that night before bedtime. She really needs her Daddy, he's missed so much this past year. And the next year or two will be so full of change for all of the kids, not just her. We will get through this together. The next morning as he was packing up his gear, it really hit home that this might be the last time I see him, if something bad happened in Iraq. I got my camera. I hugged him with all of myself and didn't want to let go, but he had to get back on post. I went to the door, pjs and all, to take pictures of him as he left. My soldier has been sent to war. Come back to me safely honey! I love you! Take care, keep your head down & kick some a**!"
