I created some castings with the moulds and air dry clay.
I prepped the moulded pieces including the paint brushes individually with black gesso.
Once everything was dry I adhered the small paint brush on top of the big brush and
added some texture with a stencil and sand texture paste. I gave the brushes another coat of black gesso.
I adhered all the other pieces (except the portrait and witch hat casting) with 3D gloss gel, playing around with the composition until I was happy with the placement.
I painted the entire project with metallique paints mixing the colors as I go, repeating the process until I was happy with the result.
I prepped the portrait with clear gesso and colored this piece with watercolors and liquid acrylic paints. I painted the witch hat with sparks paint. I adhered these two pieces to the brush
I highlighted some areas with metallique wax.
I added some more texture to the brush with metallic flakes, glitter and sequins, I adhered all these with soft gloss gel.
I adorned the brush with a pretty bow using some ribbon." - Tanya
