I think I may have already commented on this one, here goes anyway lol - the colours are beautifully combined and yes I can see why you may have been thinking it might need a little tweaking as it seems more' busy' than your usual style, but the fact that you have stuck to a limited colour palette and created the whole page with a distressed, vintage style makes it work beautifully, I think it shows that you are versatile and excellent at making different styles work for you and your photos TFS :)
This is gorgeous! I really do love all the floursihes, the way you did the title and the journaling strips. The colors are perfect and the butterfly and bloom fit so well with the whole design; ready for entry :)
I was thinking that it is the butterfly that is throwing this Lo off but I'm not sure. The dark brown cs under the butterfly almost looks black so I think it's throwing the colors off.
WOW this is stunning!! Love how you used the paint on the flourishes - infact this rocks and definitely my fav. on this challenge!! That shoe is a great touch!!
This is gorgeous! I love the flourishes and the stitching! I love how you did the title with the crown and the shoe! Love your journaling too-added to my faves!!!
First Monie this page is STUNNING. I can see that it went so much work and love in it and that makes it extra special. I love all this chipboard it look fantastic. And the butterfly WOW it is amazing. This faux stitiching is awesome and it is so cool that the frame around the pic is not straight.
Second my sweet friend you are so welcome. Reading your thanks brought tears to my eyes. I'm so glad I could help little bit. It's always such a joy to visit your palce. You are one of my favorites Artists.
This page is for Dana Tate's Challenge. This is my dd in her halloween princess dress. The dress which she wanted to wear everyday after Halloween. I find it so amazing that at only two she knows what she likes to wear. I did a lot of things to this page. I noticed on a lot of pages are using flourishes. I created the flourishes from a pattern in Nov/Dec sb ect magazine. I first copied the patterns, cut them out and traced them on the hard card board you can find at the end of some of your paper packs. I then painted them with acrylic paint. I also painted the bare chipboard letters. I used my faux stitich technique around the pic. I create the butterfly using fiskars templates. The journaling came from a shirt I bought my dd when she was a baby, and it is handwritten. I would like to give a special Thank You to A.Dogg and TjValentine for providing me with encouraging words that help motivate me to create this page. Thank You Ladies. ***TFL***
