Oooh, shiny! means it was difficult to photograph these cards. I could not get a good picture of the inside, as it is all gold embossing and gold foil and white. The sentiment isn't really readable in the photo, but it is the same one I've used for all my batch cards this year.

I was thinking white and gold cards for this batch, and then spied the black, gold and white pattern paper in my stash, and thought, "oh, yeah!" The only problem is the pattern paper is 6x6 and only four sheets, so I couldn't make six cards standard size cards. The solution was to go to a size card I haven't made often, the 6-1/4 x 3-1/4 mini slimline. So, sliced the 6x6 pieces in half and had enough to make six cards. The only caveat is I have to make envelopes. Fortunately, I already have my measurements figured, so will be easy to do using up some of the vast stash of Christmas papers I have hanging about.

I did want to layer the "Christmas" sentiment three times for a little more dimension, but my hands are shaking too much right now, and my first attempt was very sad. Plus, I had accidentally used the tittle to dot my "s" instead of the "i" and had to remake that card. Luckily, I still had one extra piece of the paper and was able to do so.

This was not a difficult card, but I haven't been feeling well, so it took me a couple of days vs the one it should have taken. Plus, dang it, more extra die cutting! Haha.

I did use Big Momma foam tape from Simon Says Stamp again to give the front panel that itty bitty bit of lift dimension on the front panels. It is only about 1/16 of an inch thick (if that) and just right to give a little bit more regal feel to the card.

Stampin' Up! supplies: "Lights Aglow" specialty pattern paper (discontinued), Regal Reindeer stamp set for sentiment, Snowflake Wishes stamp set for insert embellishment (retired), and Mother of Pearl specialty paper (retired) for the die cuts.
