Hi There! In addition to greeting cards, I also stitched envelopes into the signatures of this Christmas junk journal. On this page the flap of an envelope ls turned into a tuck spot. Heres how I did it.

The back of the flap has a sticky area for sealing the envelope, and this envelope was a bit flimsy, so I resolved both issues by adding a layer of plain copy paper to the back of the flap. Just trace around the flap, cut inside the line by about 1/8 of an inch, then attach with double sided tape.

Next, I cut a piece of scrapbook paper, and glued it to the back of the flap on 3 sides. Now I have an additional page in my junk journal and a great place to tuck a journal card.

Decorated the envelope flap with a border sticker, bit of torn book page and a word sticker to create this fun interactive element. A 4x4 journal card from the collection completes this side.

On the other side I upcycled a sheet of paper from a freebie Christmas notepad to turn the area into a journal spot.

I love upcycling Christmas cards and notepads that would otherwise go in the trash into something pretty and useful.

Want to win this Christmas Junk Journal? Then be sure to follow me at @ScrapbookWithLynda on Instagram. Details of how to enter to win this journal will be posted the end of Dec.

Happy Scrapping!
