This is a Christmas gift for my sister. The funny thing is, it started out as the cover for the mirror in my Explorer!! It came off a few years ago and there was no way to get it back on. It was going to be tossed and I said I'd take it and make something out of it!

This is going to be entered into Reneabouquets December Gift Making Challenge, December Mixed Media Challenge, and December Use Your Lace or Trims.

First, I applied Gesso over the whole thing, then used Tim Holtz Weathered Wood in Distress Paint Dabber. The Reneabouquets Love and intricate beautiful board I used Distress Oxide spray in Mermaid Lagoon. It was too blue since her colors are more teal and Grey. Then I added Distress Ink in Pine Needles and Weathered Wood then Gesso to tone it down.

The other Reneabouquets used is By the Sea beads, Teal Glitter Glass, Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder, and her beautiful butterflies.

Lace and pearls are from Erin. The round Spellbinders Splendid Circles diecut was from Laura. Thank you! The flowers are from Hobby Lobby and Prima Roses.
