My last batch of 6 Christmas cards for my mailing list this year. Went into the late hours, but now I know I can get them mailed out on time, starting in the morning (Monday).

I actually made the inked panels early, playing with new holiday mica sprays from Tim Holtz before starting my cards this year. My very first panel was rather splotchy, but I used it on my Christmas birds cards. The rest came out very well and full of lots of color. I used the new Tim Holtz Lumberjack Plaid Distress Spray Stain and the holiday mica spray Tart Cranberry mixed and smooshed with some Stampin' Up! Cherry Cobbler and Real Red inks. Love it!

I used an embossing folder called Scandinavian Christmas from Simon Says Stamp with the panels, and then used Black Soot Distress Ink to lightly go around all the edges.

I used the Yultide Colorize dies this time, with papers from Stampin! Up! (I like their coordination with the inks). Once I figured out the initial layout for the layers, they were all easy to put together and I used my first one as my reference. It does take me a bit of time, though, because my hands are not that steady anymore.

I finished the wreaths off with Pink Fresh Studio glitter drop embellishments instead of using the die cut berries, my eyes were starting to cross with tiny pieces, so I went out with the easy road and embellishments.

Inside is just gold embossing on the chosen sentiment for my cards this year.

Stampin' Up! supplies: Evening Evergreen, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler cardstocks; Real Red Glimmer Paper; various specialty gold papers I've collected for the bell; Cherry Cobbler and Real Red inks; and the Classic Label punch.

I keep meaning to mention that the primary glue I use to construct my cards is Collall, but I can only find it from the UK. I use the Cosmic Shimmer glue for details and die cuts. I'm on my last bottle of Collall, but I bought a case of Beacon 3-In-1 which is supposed to be the equivalent and I can readily get in the US. Hoping it is true the Collall and Beacon are more or less the same glue.
