Hi There! Here are two different ways to make belly bands. One is a full width one, while the other is shortened to fit the insert.

The belly band on the top page is a piece of ribbon layered with some scrapbook paper. I love how the ribbon frames the scrapbook paper, and the scrapbook paper adds stability to the ribbon. I just layered the two, then glued the ends to the page.

The belly band on the bottom is a scrap of scrapbook paper that is the width of the page and glued on each end. It was much too wide to securely hold my journal card, so I shortened it with this fun snowflake sticker.

Belly bands are great to tucking in journal cards and ephemera into a junk journal or mini album.
