How to Add a Tuck to an Envelope Pocket

Hi There! In addition to this book being made from envelopes, I sewed a couple envelopes into the signatures. That means I have lots of pockets created by the envelopes and lots of those pockets to decorate each in a different way.

This time I decorated the envelope pocket with a fun tuck area. Heres how I made it.

First I added a piece of torn book page being careful to only glue it so the pocket area of the envelope isnt sealed. I want to use the envelope pocket to hold a journal card, so its important to not seal it.

Next I added a strip of scrapbook paper to create a tuck area to the envelope. Notice that scrapbook paper is glued to the book page, so it doesnt close the envelope pocket.

Finally, I added some 2x2 pieces of scrapbook paper as journal areas.
