Journaling reads:
"*Treat her like a queen.
*Rub her belly - she just can’t get enough!
*Get into conversations with her. When she is in the mood to meow, she will meow back when you talk.
*Be very watchful of her. She has a problem using the litterbox sometimes and is often tempted by soft surfaces such as blankets, carpet, cushions, coats, etc. Gilli is the primary reason my cats live in the basement.
*Lay on your back or belly and let her crawl on top of you. Sometimes, if you are sitting on the stairs and she climbs higher than you, she will crawl up your back if you are hunched over. She thinks she is a queen, after all, and no one stands higher than the Queen.
*Keep her with Skippy. They have been with each other since birth and are not only siblings, but friends. They often curl up together to sleep.
*Learn her “Lassie meow”. If something is wrong (food bowl is empty, water is out), she will be the one to let you know. Sometimes, the incessant meowing just means she wants some lovin’. If this is the case, by all means, give it to her.
*When she goes to the vet (or on car rides in general), she will get sick. Bring along paper towels for cleaning the carrier.
*Be very gentle when you clip her nails. Mommy had an accident once. Blood was involved. Gilli has not forgotten.
*Brush her often - she loves being brushed!"
