Hi There! Heres a great idea to use up those paper scraps. Other than the background pattern paper, all the papers on this layout are leftover bits from other scrapbook layouts. Heres how I approach making a layout from scraps.

First I select a background paper, then I look through all the scraps and select papers that go with it. This is a great technique when a collection is almost used up.

Next I look for a sheet that is large enough to mat my photos on. If I cant find one, then I use a coordinating cardstock to mat my photos.

Now I arrange that rest of the papers alternating dark and light and mixing the patterns. I cut all the papers in half, so I can add a strip of it at the top and at the bottom. This makes is look like one large sheet of paper.

I like to add the strips at small angles to each other, but for a more formal look you can keep everything lined up straight.

Finally I add a few embellishment clusters. For this layout I decided to add a diagonal line of sight. So I placed one cluster in the bottom left corner and another in the top right. This placement takes the viewers eye right through my photos.

What a fun way to use those leftover bits and pieces of paper.

Happy Scrapping!
