5x7 Birthday card, using Visible Image stamp set Nuts About Squirrels.
I created the background on a piece of Bristol Smooth paper. I inked up the face of my woodgrain stencil using DO ink frayed burlap, then misted the area and put the stencil face down onto the card piece, to create a negative image of the wood grain. Then I stamped a border around the card with the acorn and leaf stamps and coloured them using DO inks as watercolour.
Then I stamped the two squirrel images and clear heat embossed only the tail of the big squirrel and the full image of the smaller chap. I love the look of the fluffy, shiny tail! The stamped and heat embossed sentiment is stuck down with foam pads.
