Fantastic! Great gel plate background. Wonderful textures and dimension. Best of all, those leaves are incredible! I've got to have these dies! As always, you are a master of mixed media.
Petra, this is beautiful! I love the soft patterned background and I really like the way you've colored the leaves. The burlap adds just the right amount of texture! Thank you for the explanations, as I just got a small gel plate and I haven't played with it yet, trying to figure it out.
I played around with my gel plate, creating lots of different backgrounds. Now I can cut them down to the size that fits the card I want to make and finish each one off, depending on the look I want to achieve.
For this one, I inked the plate up with 3 DO colours (Antique Linen, Dried Marigold and Spiced Marmalade), using a brayer to cover the plate and merge the colours. I then placed the debossing side of an Altenew 3D folder onto the plate to take a copy of the pattern. Then I placed white card on top of the plate and gently pressed it down to get the impression from the gel plate.
For this card I used a hexagon stencil and stamp, adding pollen drops and splatters (Posca Pen) .
