Looking through my many scrapbooking albums yesterday, my friend fell in love with one of my butterfly layouts from May last year, Title: Amazing (Great orange Tip), and asked me to create a LO for her too. This is the result.

First, I prepared the photo I wanted to use and die cut the mesh (using 2 for this LO) from black cardstock. Then I arranged the photo and mesh to get the best fit and look, tacking it all into place to use as a template.

I positioned the "template" onto the white card to determine where it should end up. To add more dimension and interest, I decided to add some splatters. I selected my stencil, inked up a blending brush with DO ink and lightly stencilled the splatters onto the background (second photo), always using my "template" to see where to place more (third photo).

I stamped and heat embossed more butterflies onto the background, using my clear embossing dabber and white embossing powder (fourth photo). I wanted to add leaves and decided on some plastic die cut pieces and a spare TH die cut and coloured one from my stash. After I was happy with their positions on the LO I began to glue everything into place.

Finally, I added some bling from my stash and created some waterdrops with my Glossy Accents. After everything had dried I stamped the sentiment in green ink and heat embossed it with clear powder for extra shine. Done, Ta-Daaa!
