I always look forward to your first walk of the year. It is so beautiful. I can see why you do it. Love how that background paper really brings out the colors in the photos.

I love that you do this every New Year's Day - what a great and healthy way to start each year. And the fact that you don't let the weather or anything stop you from your New Year's Day walk - that makes it even more special and important. And I love that you have this place so close to your house! You and Ian look so happy together. I agree your papers don't look tooo Christmassy - they are perfect for this layout!
Bravo - the mixed media look works well with this layut. Love the pictures and the beauty of the landscape you get to walk is amazing. Really pretty pictures.
Every year we go for a walk in our neighbourhood to enjoy the fresh air (regardless of the weather or my mobility). We are literally across the sheep meadow from our house (just to the left). It was a glorious winter day. I am a winter girl. This is Carol of the Bells paper (but I thought it was suitable for the photos and doesn't even look Christmassy). Those tree elements are from Echo Park. This kind of distressed mixed media look isn't my normal style at all but I am hoping it works well. I think it needs to grow on me though.
