Photos of my DIL taken in October 2022. She turned 50 in December and we surprised her with a present a day for 50 days before her birthday (to try to hide the fact that we were throwing a big surprise party in early December. I used Carta Bella Flora No 3 for this layout. The flowers and leaves were printed from pngwing and cut out with the Cameo. Arrows are stamps from Avery Elle. I used Altenew's Linear Crossroads die to put at the top and bottom of the small photos. The birthday sticker is from the paper collection. I added some white pearl nuvo drops around the layout and on the flowers. I tucked the leaves up under the edges of the flowers and curled the tips slightly for dimension. The title work was generated on the computer and cut out with the Cameo, then I highlighted each of the letters with clear wink of Stella. Journaling was computer generated and reads:
We planned 2 surprises for Nichole's 50th birthday. We bought 50 presents (socks, candles, coffee mugs, pens, notebooks, etc.). We surprised her with all the gifts on October 30 (which is 50 days before her birthday). Each gift was numbered and there was a bag of numbers for her to draw a number each day. Whatever number she drew had a gift with that number on it. She was definitely surprised! These photos were taken on Halloween, and the gift for that day was a set of placemats that I made for her. It was another week or two before she opened the matching table runner. This daily surprise was a great diversion from the surprise party that we planned for December 10. I never thought we'd be able to keep it a secret for so long since we'd been planning the surprise party since August! It was a lot of fun getting a text each day telling me what gift she had opened that day. I'm thankful that Traci and Helen Grace were able to go with me to find all the gifts. I couldn't have done it without their help!
