I found this amazing technique on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QlH5Kg0No3k&t=2365s. I honestly thought it would end up being terrible, but I love the results! It does look better in person than in the photo. It definitely is worth trying.

For the paint, I only have white acrylic paint, which I mixed with dye ink refills for the bottom layer. That was too translucent (even though the paint was opaque, the dye inks diluted it too much), so for the next two layers, I mixed Ranger Texture Paste Opaque Matte with dye ink refills and a little water (I had to spritz it with water regularly, to keep it from drying out). You can use this to decorate any paper-crafting project, and you can theme it with a variety of stencils and paint. :)
