Following a tutorial on how to use Art Impressions watercolor stamps, I inked the Art Impressions watering can stamp using two colors of Tombow watercolor markers, first with blue, then with brown. After stamping off twice, I stamped the image on the rough side of watercolor paper. Using water on a watercolor brush, I drew the color out from the stamped lines and used lighter and darker washes of color to produce a 3D effect of highlights and shadows. I added a wash of blue around lines to create additional shadows and stamped floral and foliage stamps inked with watercolor markers to create the flowers, greens, and grass. Using water on a brush, I dabbed the flowers to soften their appearance and pulled color from the stamped lines of the grass to add fullness and elongate the spikes. I added dots of bleed proof white in the darker areas of the foliage and grass to look like small white flowers.
