I made these cards for my mum and her twin sister to celebrate their 80th birthday. A fun trellis design background die set the scene for these floral cards. I used a large lily die and created a red and purple version of the cards, using cardstocks with a lovely shimmer to them. My aunt loves red and my mummy loves purple, so I created for them with that in mind. The lovely trellis die and lily die are both from Whimsy Stamps. The number die is an older one from Gummiapan. I popped up the trellis base very carefully by cutting up little bits of foam strips to fit in the small spaces where the trellis lines cross over. Fussy work, but it looks fab with a 'floating' base. I diecut foliage from silver glitter cardstock and added some ribbon I twirled to create ribbon ringlets. Quite simple cards really, but it took time to shape and layer the blooms, pop up the trellis layer etc, so by no means 'quick' cards.
