The second half of 2022 brought a lot of soul searching, hard decisions and lots of changes. So when I returned to the UK just before Christmas, I felt exhausted and not really in the mood to buy a tree and bother with decorations. I just put together a little display with a few branches for our sideboard in the kitchen. I also broke with tradition and packed everything away on January 1st.

This LO was put together using mainly scrap papers. The little enamel stickers are my favourite, I have used them sparingly over the years. I also dusted off my little box of trims and made use of some gold ribbon.

The plain white background looked very stark and flat. So I decided to try a little dry embossing by covering some areas with a folder and then pressing a felt-backed jar hard all over it. I highlighted the impressions with DO ink Antique Linen and a little perfect pearls gold powder.
