Excellent page Glenda. I think I have seen this before, but I agree, you should put it out again and again! And I too, am so sorry you have to go through this. Hugs!
(((HUGS))) Please keep spreading the message. I lost my dear daddy to lung cancer in 2003. If one person heeds your message, know that you have saved a life. You are a brave soul to do a lo such as this and then post it for all to see. ((((HUGS))))
My dad wasn't as lucky...he quit smoking at age 67...3 weeks later he died of lung cancer. Had he quit 10 years sooner maybe he'd still be alive. I quit cold turkey the day we found out he had terminal lung cancer. I didn't even get to have a last cigerette...my sister grabbed my cigerettes and broke them. That was it...it'll be 14 years this November. I said to myself I was not going to put my family thru what we went thru watching my dad die. Quit...if not for yourself...then do it for your loved ones. I thank my dad every day for saving MY life. Had he not gotten sick...I'd probably still be smoking. My prayers are with you hon :-)
Although I don't smoke I know people who do. One of those individuals didn't make it through her vein surgery and died of a heart attack. This is a powerful message and I could only hope more will listen.
Today makes 23 days of me not smoking....I'm so sorry you had to go through all this but you will definitely be an inspiration for me never to take another puff.
Thanks for sharing! You're such a beautiful woman. I am sorry that you have to go through this. You are in my prayers. Thanks for the inspiration to keep going!
WOW, this sure is a touching layout. I smoked for 11 years and quit about 3 months ago. The best thing I ever did, I will never pick up another cigarette. I am truly sorry that you have to go through this, I couldn't imagine. But I'm glad you are hanging in there and you have a good attitude about it! GREAT layout!
I have a 10,000 font cd that I got on ebay. I picked out 3 that have flames. Then I went into microsoft word -text art- The big A, can't use quotes anymore here, it will say, quote bla anyway I picked the one with the fire colors and used that font. I think you can cut and paste it out, I think I made a text box first. The fonts make it so much more fun. And I'm having more fun than I've had in years! Hope that helps. I have seen some fonts advertised on scrapbook.com, but they looked a little expensive. The cd I bought might have had 10000 fonts on it, but some were very similar and others down right stupid. Give and take I guess! I think I got my money's worth, I haven't even explored the whole thing yet! Have a nice day! Thanks for the comment, pass the word!
Very inspirational lo and a wonderful message to share. I thankfully have never smoked and my kids are adamently opposed to it. I lost my grandfather when I was 5 due to him loosing his battle with the after effects of smoking. I wish you the very best. Oh and I like how you did the title with the flames.
Thanks to all for the comments. One day I got out of my little Mercury, at the one only grocery store here, with the oxygen dolly, struggling with it, trying to get the handicap cart out enough to put the oxygen on the front, when I got it arranged I sat, huffing and puffing. Then I looked and two little boys were watching me with shock I guess. I said to them, promise me you'll never touch a cigarette. They said, okay yeah. That trip to the store was worth it.
Hi Photoscrapin: Your comments were hidden. 18 years is a long time! I'm very proud of you also, and you'll never regret it. I was able to make car payments when we quit. Wonder what I can quit now, car is breaking down! lol! I figure if this saves one life, I will have completed at least one mission on earth! Most everybody in this town has seen me at my worst anyway! Have a good week.
You are an inspiration to more people than you know. I have just had my 1 year anniversary of no smoking! I also hope others hear your message! The Lord speaks through all of us...
I did this once and it didn't upload right. Also, I had not did one in a long time! I don't want to lose my other views and comments, so I'm leaving both in. If I can save just ONE life, this is all worth it. Wow, the lights just went out, I hope that was a message from above. I have severe COPD caused mostly by smoking and working in chemicals and dusts, allergies. If I had not quit smoking COMPLETELY in 1994, I would not be alive now. Wish I could let you have JUST a sample. TAKE HEED! OH, by the way pelvic organ prolapse and big people diapers, nerve damage to back can go along with it. I have it all.
