Hi There! The back cover of my Portrait of a Lady junk journal has a hanging tear pad. I like to make this fun notepads from random scraps of paper. Its removable, so its easy to write on. Heres how I made it.

First I created a band by cutting a strip of decorative paper, inking the edges and gluing it near the top of the back cover. Ill hang my tear pad on this band of paper.

Next I cut another piece of decorative paper shorter than the hanging band, and folded it in half on the long side. This strip of paper is the foundation of my tear pad.

Selected a variety of papers to add to my tear pad. I like to pick different colors and widths, ink the edges and layer them into a notepad. I glued the longest page to the back of the decorative paper, then set it aside. Glued the rest of the sheets together to for a pad, then attached them to the front of the decorative paper. This allows me to hang the pad over the band.

A bit of lace, book page and fussy cut flowers complete the look.

Love adding tear pads to my junk journal, because they add so much room to write.

This is the final page in my Portrait of a Lady junk journal. Hope you have enjoyed seeing how I made all the fun inserts for this journal.

Happy Scrapping!
