This set of cards, is a mixed media venture for me, outside my comfort zone, as I'm not really a mixed media kinda gal, but I got an idea in my head and really wanted to try it. The second pic shows part of my process, turning these beautiful papers from Whimsy Stamps into layered mixed media designs. I used a lovely background script stamp to add some edge detail, stencilled some butterflies on and then added some diecut butterflies as well for added dimension and interest. These cards are for a charity auction, so I kept the designs flatter as I'll be sending the set overseas. But still added texture and interest with beautiful lace and lovely gold and copper edges. I used an embossing dabber to achieve this look.
