HOT ROD 1930: The first hot rods were old cars (most often Fords, typically 1910s-1920s Model Ts, 192831 Model As, or 1932-34 Model Bs), modified to reduce weight.
What is the most famous hot rod? That red '32 Highboy Roadster is perhaps the most iconic hot rod of all time. The exact car that was the model for the U.S. postage stamp was illustrated by artist John Mattos, who has appeared on Jay Leno's Garage. This is the car that is the model icon of hot rods. I just love Hot Rods cars and especially those mobster style cars from the 1930's. LOL
This 1930 Ford Model A Coupe is a great period hot rod: A ink brush drawing of a "Hot Rod 1930" done by me in Illustrator with some touch of color. Then I just scrapped it with some beautiful elements from a free scrapbook kit from my collection of kits for a flat lay display.
