Hi There! Most of the inserts in my Little Mermaid junk journal are removable, so you can still read the story. This time I made an over the page pocket that creates a tuck on one page and is a pocket on the other. Heres how I made it.

Cut a piece of scrapbook paper a bit narrower than the page, then folded it in a zig zag fashion. I punched the end that will be folded up to form the pocket with a shell punch, but thats totally optional. Added a bit of glue to each edge, then closed the flap to form the pocket.

Added a bit of lace trim to the other end of the flap. This will fold over the page forming a tuck spot on the other side.

The over the page pocket is held in place by a decorative paperclip.

Now to fill the pocket. You can add anything you like. I decided to make a shaker tag from a window envelope. Its lined with scrapbook paper on the inside and framed with washi on the outside.

Also made two other tags to fit inside the pocket. And one large tag for the tuck spot on the back.

Its such a fun pocket that added lots of writing space to my journal without covering the story on the page.

I have lots more fun inserts in my Little Mermaid junk journal, so stop back to see them.

Happy Scrapping!
