This is a picture of my friend who is now 27 and went off the diving board for the first time in her life! I wish you could see the looks on her face! I journaled about how much she inspires me being brave enough at our ages to try something daring and new!
I used metal embellishments in this lo, which is new for me. The three metal charms say Believe, Dream, and Inspire.
The journaling reads: What can I say about Sara ********? What an inspiration!! In her twenties, married, and can't swim, but daring enough to jump off the diving board into the brisk waters that could determine her fate...
July 2004 was the month that marked a first in her lifetime...going off the diving board. I was lucky enough to witness her descent into the water. She would jump off with her mouth wide open, and come up with a look of pure satisfaction on her face, even though she swallowed half of the water in the pool.
She was spurred on by various onlookers including numerous lifeguards, lady swimmers, and a two year old who had been jumping off the board for days in her little lifetime.
Everyone posed as a cheering section for Sara, knowing full well that this day would be a milestone she would never forget in her lifetime.
Sara, you are my inspiration. You dared. You believed. you jumped!!
