Hi There, scrapbooking a single photo on a page is fun, because there is lots of room for embellishments. But its also easy for a single photo to get lost among the embellishments on a 12x12 scrapbook layout. Heres some tips for making your photo the star.

1. Mat Your Photo

Placing a mat or two around your photo helps it to standout on a scrapbook layout.

2. Break Up the Background Print

Adding strips of other paper to break up the background, then placing your photos on those strips also brings focus to your photo.

3. Cluster Embellishments Around Your Photo

Ive used some pretty large embellishments on this page, but they dont over whelm the photo. Placing them around the photo like a frame helps the photo to stand out.

4. Vary the Size of the Embellishments

While most of the embellishments are large, I have also added some medium and small ones to the large cluster around the photo. The variation of size and shape add interest that helps to bring your eye to the photo.

Hope these tips will help you next time you scrapbook a single picture on a layout.

Happy Scrapping!
