Back home after a 5-day stay in hospital.

When my temperature suddenly shot up last weekend I called the Chemo Triage line I was given after my first chemo session. They ordered me into hospital immediately and found that my PICC-line in my right arm must have been contaminated and caused the onset of sepsis. And because my body was at its lowest point after chemo, I had no white blood cells to fight off the infection on my own. So, drips, Antibiotics, blood thinners and immune system booster injections were given in regular intervals throughout the next few days. They also removed the PICC-line . On day 4 my temperature was back to normal, body and blood were responding and starting to fight the infection. And after another thorough examination the doc discharged me yesterday.

This was not how I envisaged spending my 43rd Wedding Anniversary, but it is another chapter of my continuing journey.

I added hidden journaling, the medical record cover can be opened via a small hinge at the bottom and there is a journaling card inside.
