Oh my God!... So sad to hear this, Petra. You are so strong and brave woman to document such scary situation. I'm so glad that you are already at home and feel better. Thinking of you. Your page is greatly done.
I had the same reaction as Adele…my heart skipped a beat. 1) I am impressed that you were taking photos!!!!! 2) you scrapped this experience so well 3) Most importantly, I am so happy you are home!!!!!!
Oh my gosh Petra - how scary! I'm glad you are okay now, and love the layout you got out of it! Your embellishments are amazing and I love the one of the woman guarding your medical records. The image you made with the EMERGENCY on it is really awesome. Great layout!
When my temperature suddenly shot up last weekend I called the Chemo Triage line I was given after my first chemo session. They ordered me into hospital immediately and found that my PICC-line in my right arm must have been contaminated and caused the onset of sepsis. And because my body was at its lowest point after chemo, I had no white blood cells to fight off the infection on my own. So, drips, Antibiotics, blood thinners and immune system booster injections were given in regular intervals throughout the next few days. They also removed the PICC-line . On day 4 my temperature was back to normal, body and blood were responding and starting to fight the infection. And after another thorough examination the doc discharged me yesterday.
This was not how I envisaged spending my 43rd Wedding Anniversary, but it is another chapter of my continuing journey.
I added hidden journaling, the medical record cover can be opened via a small hinge at the bottom and there is a journaling card inside.
