Stampin Up makes some cute kits but the cards they make with them arent always my style. I have to look past their samples and determine if I could turn them into my style cards. I loved this kit, Light the Candles Card Kit, when I saw it. So now I have set out to see how many cards I can make in my style with it. Here is the first one. The patterned paper is actually an envelope undone and used. I made two half circles out of one envelope (so 1 envelope will make 2 cards). I dont have all of Stampin Up cardstock so I used Bazzill that also matched.

This is for Sketch #4 of the August 2023 Card Sketch Challenge. When I saw the sketch I knew it would be hard for me the way it was in the middle of the paper. I liked it better turned on its side and that is how this card came about (of course after a disaster of trying to make sketch #4 the first time see Happy Birthday Banner in my gallery).
**see the gallery for all the cards made with this kit. In total (with duplicates) I was able to make 31 cards!!

PS I am a demonstrator but havent figured out how to do it yet because I dont use all Stampin Up product. I figure there are more card makers like me that like the product but want to use it in our own way. The kits are on sale this month if you decide you also think it is cute!
