Oh my! Elizabeth this is an amazing, gorgeous, wonderful art journal! I love how thick and opulent it is and wish I could study each page for hours. This is such a treasure, and your talent shines through it.
Elizabeth this is so beautiful and wonderful. I am sure it has been so rewarding working on all your pages. Something for you to love and cherish for years and years.
Wow, what a wonderful journal...love all the textures, lace/trims and charm on the spine. I can see how this would take a couple of months...but worth it!
I have been working on this journal for almost two months. It is the first one that I've made from scratch and has 3 signatures. If I had to do it over I would've used only 5 sheets of paper to a signature because that would have been 20 pages. Needless to say, I did 10 plus small ones in between and it ended up huge, 5" binding! I used a Cheez-its box for my cover and added some inserts to make it bigger.
On the cover I used Prima's Tapestry stencil with home texture paste. I used a frame from my stash with Tales of You and Me in the frame. I used a drawer knob from Hobby Lobby to hold it shut with beautiful silk ribbon I got from Amazon. I also used Stampendous Shaved Ice applied over Tim Holtz's Distress Collage Medium. Flowers were Paper Studio from HL and two from Kelly as well as the stick pin. Thank you Kelly! I also used Reneabouquets beautiful board under the flowers. The binding paper is from Hobby Lobby as well. The journal pages were originally from Hobby Lobby as well. I inked up each of the back side, which was white, with TH distress ink pads and lots of VersaMagic, and others.
I will probably do collages of my pages as there are so many as you can see from these pictures. I'll post them as I get time!
