I wanted the colors in the layout to reflect the subtle colors in the larger photos so I went with a collection by Simple Stories. Using a piece of cardstock (I no longer planned on using in a layout) as a base, I attached the top and bottom patterns. I cut a strip of coordinating floral paper, trimmed it with edging scissors and placed 2 strips of washi tape behind it to help the edges show up. I used a dark blue washi tape to hid the seam between the top and bottom papers. I place coordinating journaling stickers to reflect the feelings in the photo(s), cut the title cut out of medium pink cardstock and added a boot to go with the ones in the photo(s) and the title.
