The mixed media background was made with alcohol inks (use a latex-based gesso or paint so the alcohol inks move). The bubbles, which look more like bokeh, is acrylic paint with some shimmer watercolor paint. Watered down white acrylic paint made the spatters. The resin piece was very lightly tinted with blue mica powder then sprayed with distress inks. The sleeping mermaid, flat-backed pearls, diamond glitter, and blue micro-beads are Reneabouquets products. The brush is a 25-cent clearance purchase, which I totally now know why - I bought 2 of these and used one for painting. There are more brush hairs than paint on my canvas!
