So I LOVE this layout!!! Great effect with the bands fanning out behind the image and the border/journaling is perfect. Only thing I can say is maybe tint the grey semi-circles the same color as the "High" and "Sky". Also you might run a dodge tool over your hubby's face to brighten his skin tone enough to bring the focus into balance in the picture between him and your daughter. He sort of fades away into the background as is. If the orginal photo was in color you might do a BW conversion with a red filter to increase the skin-tone contrast (old style films were less sensitive to red and green, so that classic BW effect from yester year is the bleaching of those colors from the exposure spectrum). Beautiul! Love the journaling too. Is there a photo in the background? I can hardly see it, but maybe that the effect you tried to achieve..

I like the backround effect too! And the journaling is awesome! I really like this. I think I would have made the photo just a tad bigger. Other than that it's great!
