When the Queen died last year, my son and I decided to take my two granddaughters to Windsor Castle, where the Queen would be buried, to take flowers and pay our respects for such a solemn occasion. The weather was lovely, and seeing that sea of flowery tributes was breathtaking. We all felt pleased that we'd done it.
