When someone asks about what you do, the answer shouldnt be, Im retired. There is so much more to the second half of life a lot more. My definition of retirement is not who you are or where youre at in life, rather than a process of my time and money. It is a process that I have gone through in the past three years. At first, my daily routines changed. My purpose and even my social interactions with others had changed, too. My life went from a hussle bussle to a screeching halt! Being retired: is not my identity but is my sense of direction. as I am more active now than I was before. I am more involved in life. I am doing the things I want to do. I have been able to fill my life with choices of things I want to do. Like, gardening and my grandsons. I got back into farming and gardening, which I love the quiet time I spend in my garden. I am getting to know my grandsons the more time I get to spend with them. Also, I have picked a new hobby - quilting!! I made my first one and have request by my three daughters for their children! So, not only am I doing the hobbies I always wanted - Im enjoying life!
