Give a Cheer
Journaling reads: For Sarahs Spring Dance Recital in May of 2006, Mr. Mitch asked the girls to put together their own outfits. He wanted them dressed as if they were going to a 1950s beach party. They danced to a fun rock n roll beach tune. Sarah looked so cute with her pink and green plaid shorts, a pair of mod pink earrings, a big bow in her ponytail and we even found a pair of pink and green plaid sneakers! The girls also had beach towels to throw down to sit on. I think all the girls really enjoyed this fun, more relaxed dance number. :)
For these pages, I used a lot of scraps from my stash. I have no idea who made any of the pps, but they were the perfect bits for these pics. The green glitter border at the bottom is washi tape. The pink scalloped border at the bottom was hand cut with decorative scissors. The "diamonds" were cut from a very small scrap I found. I made the retro designs on the white bg paper using chalks and a stencil. The retro stickers were some a friend gave me years ago. Lastly I added a few bits of bling and the pink "sweet" brad.
