I watch YT videos for inspiration all the time. I came across Gayle Agostinellis channel and I enjoy watching her. HOWEVER, it was this tool in her hand that intrigued me and set my mouth watering with envy. Sorry for the poor quality picture. It was a distress ink blending tool, but not one that I had ever seen! I have Tims tools, but this one made me turn green! I messaged her to ask where she got it from, but no response. I surmised it might be homemade and I would have to live with my regrets. But wait! I am a thrift shop treasure hunter as well, and on one of my trips, I came across a taper candle holder that had the right shape and my imagination took flight. It was only four dollars, and if it didnt work, then I could always use it for its original purpose. I took it home and deconstructed it. My hubby tightened the connecting screws so they wouldnt come apart and the wooden knobs came from salvaged liquor tops. They fit perfectly, but I added all purpose adhesive for additional strength. I glued on Velcro to the new ends and added the distressing pads. My lands! I am in love! They fit in my hands perfectly! Dont get me wrong- Rangers products are perfectly fine and do the job- but these make my heart happy. I know as creatives we value function, versatility, availability, as well as cost, but is it too much to ask for it all?
