And I love the stamping on the birth story. GREAT GREAT GREAT job!!!!!
This page was done for the Book of Me Challenge. The second page was to be the day we were born. The journaling inside the card, behind the row of pictures reads: On this day, Richard Nixon was the President of the United States, the world population was 3.86 billion, Roberta Flack's "First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" was the number one requested song, the Temptation's "Papa Was a Rolling Stone" was the number one album, and 25 year-old, Mary Jean went into labor with her second, and last child. While on the way to Colorado General Hospital, in her father-in-law's new Chevy, her water broke. Sadly, Charles is not available for comment, but they all knew he never would forget that moment. Mary Jean did arrive just in time to deliver a healthy, baby girl at 11:11 am. Karin Jane was a robust 7 lbs .75 oz., and 19 inches long. After a rugged and much needed (?) game of golf, Darold Gene made it to the Hospital to see his baby daughter. This was such a monumental experience for both Darold and Mary that they forgot the rest of the birth story- so monumental, in fact, that they also can not remember where their beloved first born daughter, Gina Lynn was. They do have one picture of Gina Lynn with her cousin on that very day, so it is to be believed that she was taken care of by her Aunt Kathy and cousin, Joanne. In spite of the lost memories, we do know that Darold and Mary did, in deed, deliver a healthy baby girl, who would later share this magnificent story with her own daughters. What an incredible legacy, and she has all four pictures to prove it. --- Love you Mom, Dad, and Gina!!!
