A simple mixed media layout that was fun to do.

I used Stencil Girl's A4 "shattered" stencil and 3 distress oxide colours: evergreen bough, aged mahogany and squeezed lemonade. After I positioned the stencil, I masked off the right side and applied the three DO inks with brushes on the left. Then I masked off the left stencil side and applied the inks directly onto the stencil, spritzed it with water and pressed it onto the cardstock to complete the circle shape. I then spritzed the whole image to smudge the edges. The inspiration for the additional black lines comes from AuntyT's recent designs, she used them to great effect and I love it.

Using the ink left on each brush I then coloured the die cut circles, outlined them with a fine art pen and placed them onto the LO. Finally, I added ferns, flowers and wood chip embellies.
