I sprayed midnight blue and black card stock with Tim Holtz Shiny Bauble distress spray. I cut the blue card stock to 5 x 7 and the black card stock to 8 x 10. I used mat gel to adhere the black card stock to an 8 x 10 canvas board. Next I centered and glued the blue card stock over the black. I cut the Count out of shades of grey card stock and used Tim Holtz distress watercolor pencils to color his skin. I added Ranger glossy accents to color the bats and the Counts cape. The gate was cut twice from bronze metallic card stock and glued together to give it depth. The tombstones and clouds were cut from grey card stock and highlighted with Tim Holtz iced spruce distress ink. The walkway was embossed with a dot embossing folder and colored with distress inks and layered with Tim Holtz crypt paste.

To assemble the picture I positioned the gates at the edge where the blue card stock meets the black border, the tombstones on each side by slightly behind the gate and the walkway in the center sitting slightly below the gate. I unattached foam dots to the Count to slightly raise him from the background. The moon was glued to the upper left and bats and clouds were randomly glued in place. I matted the picture with an 11 x 14 black mat with a white beveled edge. I used Microsoft Word to make the Beware of the Ides of March title and printed it out on white card stock. I used an 11 x 14 black weathered wood frame to frame the piece.
