I took this photo at The Cathouse in Sevierville, TN, the people in it love cats, and are named Kati and Cat so a cat themed page was a given. I wanted the colors of the page to coordinate but not so much that the photo would get lost so I first matted the photo on white paper, trimmed it with decorative scissors, and matted it on a medium teal/blue. I used the green gingham as the main background but added 2 light pink triangles, trimmed with the same decorative scissors to the corners leaving about 1/2" border. The blue metalic washi tape was placed under the trimmed side of the triangles for 2 reasons; first, to coordinate with the photo and second, to help the edge show up better. Once the triangles and washi tape were in place I attached the photo off center for more interest and added embellishments from doodlebug designs. The flags were attached and the "string" drawn with a brown pen. The title was part of the embellishment package.
