I wanted to use more subtle, earth toned colors like those in the photo. I had remnants of Boho Baby by Simpel Stories which I cut into 4 equal rectangles, then trimmed with edging scissors. I marked the center of the light brown background on both sides with a pencil then placed a piece of washi tape across. To make sure the tape was straight I checked it agains the guard on my trimmer. I eyeballed the placement of the rectangles and other washi tape. (The hardest part was "matching" up the cardstock pieces so they'd be in the right order.) The washi tape I used was a golden color as in the patterned cardstock. I realized later that I had a rainbow washi tape similar to the chipboard. I probably would've used it in place of or in addition to the gold one had I remembered sooner. I matted the photo on blue cardstock that had also been edged. The chipboards had been found in a craftstore. The title was taken from and cut out of vinyl using cricut. I cut unwelded offsets out of velum to help it stand out more against the patterned paper.
