What do you get a guy who has everything? That’s the question we ask every year when October comes and it’s time for Dad’s birthday. We call Mom and she never has a clue what to get him. But in 2003 she had a great idea. Brown County was putting together a memorial for veterans in the area. They offered bricks to commemorate veterans and their service to our country. Dad is very proud of his service in the Navy, so a brick was the perrfect birthday gift for him. Mom ordered the brick but it wasn’t going to be ready until November. so we had to tell Dad that his gift was on backorder. Finally, on a cool November day, Mom told him that his gift was ready and got him in the car. When he saw the brick, he got tears in his eyes. We succeeded in finding the perfect gift for the guy who has everything!
