I am a boy who has long hair

Layout of my son that includes a poem he wrote for a homework assignment this week.

I am a boy who has long hair and likes farming
I wonder why the sky is blue
I hear the oceans waves crashing onto the shore as I walk along the beach
I touch the cold water and the sand with my bare hands and it chills them
I am a boy with long hair who likes farming

I pretend that I could one day stop the war in Iraq
I feel that the war in Iraq should be stopped
I touch up on the war and how it should be stopped
I worry about people that are dying in Iraq
I cry whenever I see a family who has lost a family member
I am a boy with long hair who likes farming

I understand that farming can be hard work
I say that I think that I can do it
I dream that one day I will have a farm of my own
I try to do my best to help out with the animals at my friend’s farm
I hope that I am good enough to have my own farm one day
